Dear John's soundtrack is actually pretty amazing. And Cruel Intentions.
ReplyDeleteoooh, i love these that you've chosen. some directors (or music choosers?) are so genius at putting scenes or shots to music like the coen bros and wes anderson. some soundtracks i've loved over the years in various phases are: Niagara Niagara, Jesus' Son, Man from Snowy River, Practical Magic, Buena Vista Social Club, and Hideous Kinky. ooooh, now i want to go listen to some of these!
ReplyDeleteThat crazy O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack NEVER gets old!!! Love your picks!!!
ReplyDeleteThere are some good choices here! I would add the Garden State soundtrack to the list, though I haven't quite recovered from over listening to it years ago, I would imagine that at some point it will hold a pretty strong nostalgic pull for me.
ReplyDeleteThe Stealing Beauty soundtrack will always be a favorite of mine. I can remember listening to it over and over on cassette back in the 90's :)
