a sweater for your Little Lebowski Urban Acheiver

This morning, while briefly browsing Etsy, I came across not only one but two Lebowski sweaters from Camp Kitschy Knits! One for an adult and one for a child. I want to assure you that if I had $200 to spend, I would buy both these sweaters in a heartbeat and I would make one of my kids wear it so we could be twins. Oh, if only dreams were reality :)

vintage omnia'c pop-out platform clog skates

perhaps you remember this post from over a year ago? the one where i ogle over the coolest pop-out skates ever. whether you do or not i'm here to report that i did indeed find a pair of Omnia'c clog skates and i did indeed purchase them for a mere $20! ever since that post i have kept an eye out for a pair. over the months i found several that were either too big/small and all of them were $200+, a price much too high for my budget. several months ago i decided to check out ebay and low and behold these were up for auction. they were half a size too big so i decided i wouldn't bid more than $20, thinking that for sure someone else would outbid me. obviously you can see i won!

they are not ideal for walking around in but they work just fine for skating! i nearly killed myself skating in the house for this picture :) i'm looking forward to some more practice and possibly a skinned knee or two. and if you're lucky MAYBE a video ;) who doesn't enjoy watching someone eat it? i know i do!

i found a few for sale if anyone is interested here, here, and here

my dream vehicle

Alaska in the Fall! since we are soon going to be a family of 6, a bigger car is a must. the car we have now only seats 5. obviously that won't work come may. if i had my way and all the money necessary, we would be driving around in a vw bus. i have wanted one...well forever. actually, when i was little we did have one (i'll have to dig the pictures up) much like the 2nd photo. i believe it was a '77 westfalia (kathy if your reading this, you can let me know if that's right). i'm not sure if the campers seat 6 but that would be my first choice, for obvious camping reasons. i don't believe material things really bring happiness, BUT i KNOW if i had one of these magical machines...i would be oh so stoked! and for a long time!

did i just say material things don't bring happiness??? how silly i am!

what's your dream car? do any of you have a volkswagen?

Spectacles and T- Shirts

I'm not much of a television watcher, but Spectacle: Elvis Costello with... is seriously worth checking out. We just discovered it and have been watching past episodes for the last few nights. I'm not going to go on and on about how much I love Elvis because he deserves a post of his own. But, what I will say is, head on over to the Sundance channel and watch this show (or you can watch it online).
Another recent discovery of mine is Worn Free T- shirts. They are all remakes of famous tee's worn by musicians and such. I really want The Flying Burrito Bros. one! I never really wear t-shirts, but if I had this one I would. Anyway, if this type of thing interests you, definitely check out their shop.

Friday is here y'all! Hope the weekend treats you good.

I think I need a cloche!

I have always loved cloche hats. I think they are absolutely adorable! Now, I know I have long hair and all, but I'm determined to find a way to make it work. Seeing as how my head is on the larger side I think I'll skip trying to find a vintage one, even though that would be my preference. The two pictured above, are from Anthropologie. I think I'm going to have to get one.

Hoo Hoo

Hoo doesn't love owlies? And hoo wouldn't love to have that Kate Spade Owl Handbag? It is so fantastic! If I had money to burn, I would already own one. Oh well, I will have to be satisfied with dreaming of it for now. The next photo is of my owl pitcher and mama and baby owl. And lastly is my little night owl, Shane. Aren't those pajamas adorable! Yea for owls!!!
