here and now // start of summer

so, it's officially summer! and although these "lovely" photos may bring you to believe all has been splendid, things actually got off to a rough start but i think we will slowly get into a new rhythm for these longer days that we will be spending together. i'm trying not to have any grand expectations for these months but rather take each day as it comes and make the best of our time off. so, here's to living in the moment folks! i have a hard time doing just that but i'm giving it the old college try ;)

happy summer!

  1. You are so cute. i love your photos endlessly and always. summer can be hard with everyone HOME ALL THE TIME. i feel ya, sister. but yes, it is nonetheless summer and we must try to soak it up as best we can. i wish we were neighbors. xoxoxo

  2. Well it does look lovely, those radishes are perfect! Hoping you've all found just the right balance.

  3. Oh my gosh! So so so sweet. It's the rough times that make this little, dear life what it is and honestly, I'd take a little rough time to see wee Marianne with her hands on her hips, staring down that fern and a bite of your white bean (?) salad, but I'll take your word for it. Transitions are always and forever though. Love to you and yours.

  4. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I'm guessing you're talking about the long summer break when the kids are home from school? We have six weeks in December with ours at home....it seems sooooo long doesn't it. At least it is never as bad as we hope it won't be. I like the photo of your flower pressing. Good luck! x
