Yesterday was my Gram's birthday. I'm sorry, I can't tell you how old she would have been, she would be very upset with me :) She never revealed her age while living, so I'll honor her wishes and not reveal it now. Gram was a big part of my childhood. My sister and I spent a lot of time with her on the weekends. I remember we always watched The Munsters and The Three Stooges on Saturday mornings at her house, while eating toast and drinking coffee. We went with her to get her hair done at Aunt Elaine's (her sister) house and she always took us to Mass on Sunday's. As an adult I visited her every Tuesday with my step-mom,Cathy and my kids. We would have lunch and play cards, and let me tell ya, Gram did not like to loose.
Yesterday was also the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Gram had a great devotion to our Blessed Mother. I'm so thankful for her faith which she passed on to me and for all those years I had with her. I miss you and love you Gram!

  6. wow these are beautiful! You're so sweet not to reveal her age like she would have wanted :) I only have one grandparent left, and it happens to be my Grandmother and so many of the things you said are things I can relate to! She also takes me to church on Sundays and I owe so much of myself to her! :)
