Weekly Quote

"I learned that who doesn't look for you doesn't miss you. Who doesn't miss you, doesn't care for you. That destiny determines who enters your life but you determine who stays...There are three things in life that leave and never return; words, time and opportunities. Therefore, value who values you and don't treat as a priority whoever treats you as an option."

I read the above quote this morning and it struck a chord with me. I can't quite find the words to elaborate on it but felt it was still worth sharing. My mind has been a bit jumbled lately. Perhaps due to lack of sleep, trying to keep up with 5 children or both. I imagine you can cut me some slack right?

These pictures were taken the other evening when I managed to get out for a short walk while the baby napped. Shane and Marianne had fun throwing rocks and Shane thought it would be funny to throw Marianne's scooter and his flip flop down the hill (not pictured). We spent the next 20 minutes waiting for him to figure out how to get them back. While I waited, I enjoyed my surroundings and the setting sun.

This is my daughter's last week of school and then summer will officially begin for us. I'm looking forward to it!

  2. hahahahahahahahaha! oh thanks for the morning laugh that I needed so much, the image of Shane pondering how to get back his stuff after biffing it down the hill; children children children, bless their little brains. Hmmmm I like that quote, I feel like now is a good time in my laugh to whittle out the ones that no longer matter- gosh that sounded callous of me, but I think you know what I mean. Time is so precious. xo
