  1. okay, these are so totally inspiring. i am promptly going to get started bringing more plants into my home. i have such a black thumb :( but at least i am finally getting a few succulents to thrive .... OUTDOORS. maybe my house is too dark for inside plants to do well? in any case, i know ivy works so i will just bring in tons of that, i love the look of ivy with books anyway. and i want a giant built in sofa booth like that huge sunny living room!

thanks for the inspiration this morn!

    1. hey babe don't bring ivy in or at least do it carefully, it can be really bad for air quality and bring out allergies in people and pets. I've heard the opposite too, but at least in my experience at my old work, we were always kinda telling people to keep it in the patio and definitely not in the bedroom, maybe living room.

  4. whoa! now that's A LOT of watering. I feel like if I had this many plants my children would starve. (You can only keep so many things alive & thriving in a household, eh?) :D

I love all the hanging variations best - I would start to feel a little claustrophobic by some of the imposing greenery, but the third and last photo are totally amazing. Makes me think I should find my watering can, Now.

    1. yes, i would agree. i can hear myself now, "leave me alone kids! can't you see i'm watering!" and they'd say, "but mom you've been watering for 4 hours! we're hungry!" then i'd say, "but my plants can't feed themselves, you can! now go make yourself a dang quesadilla!" hahaha!

  5. Oh man, I can't wait to hang out in your own personal jungle house! I've always been sad to not live in houses that have lots light, but I have a bunch of plants in the bathroom where there's skylight. Pictures of porches with lots of plants always remind me of childhood. Thanks for the endless inspiration, St. Anne of Houseplants!

  8. I was drooooling over your instagram pictures a few days ago. I just want to live in this book! I think it's time to expand my plant budget. If I bring in a few new every month I should be at the living with plants level in a few years, right? :)
