Oh Marianne! This little lover turned three last week! What can I say about her...she is filled with a joy about life and people that is enviable. Every morning she squeals with delight about her new baby and then proceeds to smother her with intense kisses. She loves helping fold the laundry, she loves playing with the neighbors, she loves her daddy and overall she just loves life. Of course, she pronounces it "lub".
Marianne is also a big fan of Minnie Mouse so my Mom decided we should celebrate her birthday by going to Disneyland. Thankfully she's friends with some people who work there and they got 6 of us in for free! I don't know if you know this but Disneyland is EXPENSIVE, especially for a large group like us. Anyway, the highlight of the trip for Marianne was meeting Minnie. I wish I had a picture but I didn't take many that day. Sometimes I just want to enjoy a day without capturing every moment on film/memory card. Ya know what I mean?
We'd never been to Cars Land and it was COOL! It looked just like movie. I'm no Disney freak but they did an outstanding job with that.
The last ride we went on was Splash Mountain and we couldn't stop laughing at this picture. Max's face is pretty priceless! True terror. He'd never sat in the front and I don't think he ever will again :)

I'm so glad you got in for free! hooray for the people that your ma is in cahoots with! Cars opened the day we left Anaheim, as I recall it was a pretty big deal at the time! Marianne is such a beauty! I know what you mean about not taking pics - sometimes you just want to enjoy the experience with thinking about how to best portray it in a picture. xo

oh little marianne! she just gets more and more delicious. happy birthday! and so sweet to celebrate it at disneyland. and I KNOW, so pricey! sometimes i entertain taking fern and then i remember that it would cost our life savings. so extra awesome that you got to go. seeing marianne so big makes me miss you so much!

Disneyland is mad expensive! It's the happiest place on earth... if you're rich! :P Great that some of you were able to get in for free though, what a wonderful way to celebrate your little munchkin turning three.
