vintage scores

yesterday everyone seemed to have a case of cabin fever. so, we got out and took a short walk or in shane's case a short run. it was warm and breezy and beautiful. just what the doctor ordered!

i have been on the hunt for months for a low table to go out on our patio and yesterday i found one that is perfect!

i really couldn't have hoped to find a better one! look at her! isn't she cute?! i still need some pillows for our pallet seating area but i'm thinking the patio is pretty near finished. it's almost ready for a little party with friends don't you think?

ok, there's more...and this could be dangerous for me. our local library has a used book store which has not only a large 25 cent section BUT a recycling section as well where all the books are FREE! check out what i picked up yesterday.

the expressionism book is really cool. i plan on framing a couple of the fold out prints. and love is an attitude is pretty darn awesome! it was printed in 1970 and has great photos and poems which i'll share in an upcoming post.

i am also going to be updating my etsy shop this week with some really great pieces so make sure to check them out!

  1. Awesome! Marianne is so so cute! And so is your table. I can't wait to sit around it (hopefully this may?) and gossip. Also I'm pretty sure I thrifted that love book and gave it maybe to Mary. Awesome 70s books galore!

    1. yes, too bad my peacock chair is completely falling apart :( i just don't have the heart to get rid of it but will probably have to considering you can't sit in it. the patio is not covered. it does get misty but unfortunately there is no snow here my montana friend :D yes, a beer together would be nice.

Love your cool little table. Why are oudoor tables so hard?! I can't find one either. And, well, it's kind of essential.

Plants are looking nice & healthy too :)

    1. haha! when i saw the table i quickly pushed my cart over to it, got shane out and hoisted it in. it was probably a pretty funny sight because i was holding marianne in the baby carrier. i AM over the moon about it! and you are welcome to hang out on my patio any time my friend, virtually or in person :D

yes, i was super bummed they weren't my size. i did try to squish my foot in though :D

  7. Love your table. I needed one for my sunroom. My room is narrow so I couldn't use any thing to wide. I had an old piano bench in the basement that needed a little work. I fixed it, painted it white and it is perfect. Nice to have a place to sit that cup of morning coffee down. Love old books.

  8. I adore your patio. You have mad decorating skills Anne. A really good feel for what fits sweetly together, and yet completely able to be used in real life. I love that your room doesn't feel contrived in any way at all. xo
