Last night we celebrated my oldest friend, Rita's, birthday. She and I have been best friends since second grade. I'm so thankful to have her in my life. She truly is one of a kind!
Below is a picture of the dessert I made. Baked pears and vanilla ice ice cream.
Here she is wearing the cowl I made for her. It's not a very clear photo but, you get the idea.
And here is a work in progress shot of another cowl I was working on and have now finished (photos to come).
Hope you all are doing well out there! Wer're off to a Christmas party tonight. Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

That cowl looks so warm and snuggly! I'm getting together with friends tomorrow afternoon to make some truffles :) And then in the evening we're having a get together for another friend who came up to visit over holidays from San Francisco.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful celebration! The desert, the cowl, the atmosphere, it all looks perfect and lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe pear&ice cream desert looks delicious :)
ReplyDeleteGreat cowl!
I think you just saved me from death by boredom - your post reminded me to take my knitting on a 30 hour bus ride starting tomorrow..
Happy Birthday to Rita!!! Those cowls you are making are SO fantastic- they look adorable on you too! :D No school for the kids- wanna get together?
ReplyDeleteYour friend is so lovely and the cowl is so lovely and the dessert looks so yummy, what a sweet friend you are!
ReplyDeleteOh wow the dessert looks delicioussss, yum!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the cowl, wish I could make gifts myself, that's so much coller than bought stuff :)
Old friends are like family and so important. Especially girlfriends - they become more important the older you get. It's lovely you have a bestie like Rita. Merry Christmas to your family x
