a weekend on the winery

<span class=
Our wonderful friends, Mike and Ashley, invited us up to their winery for the weekend. As you will see, the home and surroundings are more than beautiful! I can't put into words what an absolute treat it was to stay there.

This is the wine tasting area. Mike and Ashley were married here almost 5 years ago by none other than my husband, Ruben!
<span class=
This was the room we stayed in. And yes, I did take a bath in the amazing tub :D
<span class=

<span class=
Here is the lovely Nicky. She and her husband Erick were also there.
<span class=
Shots from the bell tower at sunset, ahhhh.....!!!
<span class=

<span class=
We had dinner outside the first night by the glorious fireplace.
<span class=
Unfortunately, our first night there I came down with the stomach flu (Ruben got it the next day)! Can you believe it?! So, I spent about 24 hours sleeping and being sick :( This was such a huge bummer! I'm sure you can understand how upset we were, especially considering it was our first weekend away in 2 years. Man, sometimes life doesn't make sense!
<span class=
By Sunday I was well enough to get out and about. I went to Mass at the lovely Santa Inez Mission.
<span class=
Later that day we walked to this pretty waterfall.

Here we all are.
Thanks again, Mike and Ashley, for an amazing weekend!

In other news, we have finally moved! As soon as I get the internet set up at our place I will be back to blogging. Hopefully you all have not forgotten about me :D I have missed reading all your blogs and look forward to getting back to this fun part of my life.
