I always love the bold 60's prints, but often have a hard time incorporating them into my outfits. I bought this dress a long time ago and never wear it because of... well, the print. Yesterday I was in the mood for something a little brighter. So, I went digging through my drawer and found it, to see if I could make it work. It was a long dress when I bought it, but I cut the top part off. So, what is now the dress, was originally the skirt part. Definitely not an everyday look for me, but it was fun to wear something different.

This is the best shot I got of the print.
Do you have any clothes that you like, but I have a hard time wearing? What are your solutions?♥ anne
very pretty !
ReplyDeletelove the print!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great on you! The print is really pretty with the hints of blue and green.
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful print Anne! Love how you wear it with the jacket and wrap.

love this dress esp with the denim jacket. Darling my wardobe is full of dresses that never get worn- starting to feel guilty.
ReplyDeleteYes, but I usually just wait for the day when it feels right and then something comes together. I love the colors in the skirt and the print.
ReplyDeleteGroovy Baby!!!
ReplyDeleteI've got a vintage skirt with the tiniest waist ever but is flowy at the bottom! I have to wear it soooo high that I just never get around to doing it- actually... I should check again since I lost a little weight since I got it!
Thanks Anne!
HEY!! Thanks for putting me up on your Twitter- I've never seen it before!
ReplyDeleteI love the print. I have a lot of things that are pretty but really inconvenient here in the country, plus I feel constantly over dressed...
ReplyDeleteI love this print on you! I feel a little intimidated by '60s prints too, even though they're so fun to look at. I think you really pull them off!

ReplyDeletei lvoe love sixty's prints, xx
ReplyDeleteI love the colors and it looks like spring or summer there! So warm looking. Clothes that I have problems wearing I tend to not wear: I hang them instead of pictures on my walls.
ReplyDeletelove the print! and yes i have TOO MANY items that i love but can't quite figure...many skirt i try to wear as dresses, or shorten to wear as skirts...once i turned a turtleneck into a sleeveless dress, but that didn't last long :) hehe!

well you certainly did a good nob with finding something to wear it with. i love the shoes :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous wrap! I adore it! I love blazers but I can't wear them -- I look terrible in them for some reason. My solution is to let my sister wear them for me :)

Lovely colors, and I think the jean jacket is a good call when something feels a bit too much, whether it's just too dressy or has a loud print. I'm the same way and my lil' jean jacket is my go to piece for toning things down or making them feel more casual.
ReplyDeleteyou look awesome- you totally pull it off.
ReplyDeletevintage prints can be tricky but paired with the denim and brown it looks good.
