beddy bye

Here are two pictures of my room. I'm actually glad I took these because I was getting a little bored with my linens and was thinking about looking for something new. But, after seeing them here on the computer, I've realized I'm completely satisfied with them after all. I guess sometimes we just need to look at things through new eyes to appreciate them again.

I bought the duvet and pillows at Anthropologie a few years back. The two decorative pillows were on sale for $11 each, marked down from $145! I really can't put into words how excited I was upon purchasing them. The lovely bull painting was bought for us, by our friend, for $1 at a yard sale! Thanks again Chris! Overall I'm pretty pleased with my bedroom. It's still a work in progress, but it's getting there.
These next two photos are rooms designed by Kathryn Ireland. So, so inspiring! If you like what you see, make sure you check out her website and books.

That's all for now, folks!

  2. Oh, your room is so gorgeous. I love the amazing southwestern vibe!!! I feel the same way, you really have to see the things you see everyday from a different perspective to truly appreciate them.

  3. Your bedroom is beautiful. I thought it was out of a catalog at first:) I wish we were that pulled together, organized and stylish sometimes, but we have so much stuff and so little room.

    Anthropologie sales are the best!

  4. I would really pay a lot of money for a bull painting like yours. I love animal art, and the vibrant color and strong lines here are just to my taste!

  5. Oh wow, your room is AMAZING! It looks like it came straight from a catalog - nice work. Also, Anthropologie has the most beautiful decorating items and definitely the best sales. I got a wonderful lampshade there so cheap and it made me extremely happy! :)
