Yosemite 2016

Oh Yosemite! I love you so! I was so excited to take my wet plate camera this year and make some tintypes. I got three good plates and was so thankful for everyone's patience and help while I took them.

Our first day we stayed at a beautiful secret spot in the valley. The park was the most crowded I'd ever seen it but we didn't see one person on the river that day, we had it all to ourselves!

the next day we stayed up in Wawona, near our cabin, and found a great spot to hang out for the day.

  1. My love and I had a tintype portrait taken at a fair last weekend. I love it except was very disappointed because it lacked the depth and details that your plates have. It's a placeholder until we can have you take one of us. ;)

  2. I love so much that you are back here blogging and providing these vivid little glimpses into your world. Your children are pure sunshine. Yosemite through your lens and words is purely inviting: not a crowd in sight! How do you manage that?! Also, your new header is choice.

    1. Aww! Thanks Heather! We can avoid crowds for the most part because of a few secret little spots. Next time you go there talk to me first and I'll tell you about them :)

Oh thank you about the shirt! I had initially planned to do more but then I wore it to Yosemite and figured it was good enough :)
