I finally tried this after many months of searching for a shampoo and conditioner that was free of all the toxins but didn't make my hair extremely greasy. Yeah!!! It works!

Yerba Mate Lattes. Delicious! Just make a cup of the tea, add some frothy almond milk, maybe a touch of raw agave nectar and viola! you have a scrumtrilescent drink! No. I did not just make that word up. hehehe!

The Graduate

Every fall, I for some reason, begin to think of Katherine Ross (in The Graduate). Not only was she beautiful, she had great style. And that's how I'd like to look, as the weather finally starts to cool off- turtle necks, boots, cute jackets. Oh, will that day ever come? When it's 100 degrees outside, it's hard to believe it will.
The Graduate is always a source of inspiration for me. From the clothes to the music, it's sheer perfection. It's always been one of my favorite movies and , I think, always will be. Here is a great clip from the movie. Enjoy!
P.S. How awesome is that first photo! Don't worry, I have not forgotten how much Anne Bancroft rules! I equally love her in the movie. Did you know she was only 6 years older than Dustin Hoffman in the movie? Crazy huh!

Rollip Fun

Want to make your own pictures into Polaroids? I thought so. Well, head on over to Rollip and you can get started! As you can see, I had fun with a few pictures I took recently. Starting from the top- a beautiful sunset the other evening-the church we got married in- and well, I guess the last one speaks for itself. :) Now, go have some fun with your own photos!

*I found Rollip when I was at Creative Kismet. Thanx a million!!!

Bob Dylan

No day is complete without a little Bob Dylan (and on many occasions, a lot). His music brings such happiness to my soul! You can take a listen here if you'd like. You know, he's on tour right now. He's going to be in LA for three nights next month. I think I need to get some tickets. Oh, and he also has a Christmas album coming out. Could be pretty cool.

My Etsy Shop

I'm so excited to announce that my Etsy store is finally open! I'm slowly but surely adding all my items. Here are a couple currently for sale-

I have a bunch of vintage clothes that I will be adding this week, so be on the lookout for some fun stuff!!!

I Do...

We went to a super cool wedding on Saturday. It was at Don The Beachcomber in Huntington Beach. The bartender informed us, that back in 1932, Don invented the original Mai Tai cocktail. He said the mix alone had 13 ingredients! Pretty cool huh? We of course had to sample a few, and I'm happy to report that they were quite delicious! If you're interested in reading the history of Don, you can find it here.

May I Wear Tights... Please?

Some fun inspiration for fall, from Free People. The weather here seems to be playing tricks on me. One day is a little cooler with an autum breeze, then the next day is super hot again. Doesn't it know we all want to wear tights!

I Am A Child

"I am a child,
I'll last a while.
You can't concieve
of the pleasure in my smile.
You hold my hand,
rough up my hair,
It's lots of fun,
to have you there."
Neil Young- "I Am A Child"

I love this song so much. We all know time goes by so fast with our little one's, and this song reminds us to really try to enjoy every moment with our children. Being a mother can be an overwhelming job at times, we get lost in the everyday stresses and forget about living in the present. Let us renew our motherly vows and make an effort to really be there for our ever needy children.

Artists starting from the top: The Paperboat, Shelli at Studio Mela and Tummy Mountain.

"I don't know why I love you babe"

"I don't know why I love you babe... but I love you darling, yes I do..."

Here's a little Mick to brighten your day. I looove the Rolling Stones and have been in love with Mick Jagger for many a moon. He's just so dang cute! Now, I understand not everyone feels this way. But let me tell ya, those of us who do, understand eachother. What are some of my favorite songs you ask? Well, I'd be glad to tell you. (I'll try to keep this list somewhat short) Miracle Mile, Dead Flowers, Don't Know Why, Waiting On a Friend, Happy, You Got The Silver, Rocks Off, Torn and Frayed... Ok, I really could keep going but I'll stop. For so many years now, I've been trying to decide my #1 favorite song of theirs. When I was young it was Angie and She's So Cold, but now I just can't seem to narrow it down. Oh well. What are some of your favorites? I'd love to know.

The Weather was Nice, We Slept in the Grass

I am in love with this print by Danna Ray! Not only do I want to own it, I want to be the girl in it. I first saw it at Where The Lovely Things Are (if you have not been there, do yourself a favor and go) and have since been thinking about it. Sleeping outdoors is always magical and I think this illustrates that perfectly.

Wine Glass Markers

These wine glass markers were given to me, by my wonderful friend, for my birthday last month. Each one has a different picture and a quote that goes with it on the back. Aren't they awesome! The possibilities are endless with this idea- album covers with lyrics, books covers with quotes, favorite paintings... you get the idea. I can't wait to bust mine out tonight with a yummy glass of wine, great music and family and friends.
